Trump Netanyahu Alliance Drives Iran War Strategy As Leaders Coordinate Crushing Blow Against Hostile Regime

US Israel partnership reshapes Middle East power balance while Iran’s leadership faces collapse under pressure.

US President Donald Trump stated that the decision regarding when to end the ongoing war with Iran will be coordinated with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, highlighting the close strategic cooperation between the two leaders during the conflict.

Speaking to The Times of Israel on Sunday, Trump explained that discussions with Netanyahu are ongoing and that both leaders are considering developments carefully as the military campaign continues. While noting that the decision will be made mutually, Trump also indicated that he will ultimately determine the timing when the moment is right.

Trump emphasized that the United States and Israel are working closely together throughout the conflict and that their military coordination has produced significant results. When asked whether Israel might continue fighting even if Washington decided to stop its strikes, Trump dismissed the possibility and said he does not expect such a scenario to arise.

The interview came shortly after Iranian state media reported that the Assembly of Experts had selected Mojtaba Khamenei, son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as Iran’s next Supreme Leader. Asked about the development, Trump responded cautiously, saying that time will reveal how the situation unfolds.

Earlier in the day, Trump told ABC News that Iran’s future leadership would struggle to remain in power without broader international legitimacy and stability. His remarks reflected the growing pressure on the Iranian regime as the conflict continues to escalate.

Trump also praised Prime Minister Netanyahu and described their cooperation during the war as highly effective. He credited the Israeli leader with strong wartime leadership and said their partnership has played a major role in confronting Iran’s threat.

According to Trump, Iran had posed a direct and serious danger to Israel before the war began. He argued that decisive action was necessary to prevent Iran from carrying out its ambitions against Israel and destabilizing the region.

The US president concluded by highlighting the importance of the alliance between Washington and Jerusalem. He stated that the combined leadership of the United States and Israel has dramatically changed the strategic situation and prevented Iran from achieving its goal of destroying Israel.
