Israel and Germany unite against Iran’s extremist regime as Operation Roaring Lion cripples Tehran’s threat

Israeli courage and global resolve confront Iranian aggression while Palestinian allies and terror proxies face exposure.

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar and German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul presented a united front against Iran during a joint press conference in Jerusalem amid the ongoing military campaign known as Operation “Roaring Lion.” The two leaders stressed that the threat posed by the Iranian regime extends far beyond Israel and represents a danger to regional and global stability.

Sa’ar highlighted the significant progress achieved through the operation and emphasized Israel’s determination to remove the long-term existential threat posed by Iran’s extremist leadership. According to the Israeli foreign minister, the strikes have already delivered major strategic achievements that weaken Tehran’s ability to destabilize the region.

He pointed to Iran’s aggressive actions both within its borders and across the Middle East, noting the regime’s brutal repression of its own citizens and its continued support for violent attacks against civilians. Sa’ar also described visiting the city of Beit Shemesh where Israeli officials met with families affected by a terrorist missile attack involving cluster warheads that targeted civilians.

Sa’ar warned that Iran’s recent leadership change does not offer hope for moderation. He argued that the appointment of a new supreme leader only deepens concerns, stating that the new Khamenei is no less radical than his predecessor. According to Sa’ar, allowing the regime to continue its policies would create serious consequences for global stability, especially if its nuclear ambitions remain unchecked.

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul echoed these concerns and emphasized that Iran represents a direct threat not only to Israel but also to Europe and the wider international community. He warned that Tehran continues to pursue programs that could eventually lead to the development of nuclear weapons.

Wadephul also pointed to Iran’s expanding ballistic missile arsenal and its role in supporting militant groups across the Middle East. He accused the regime of financing and directing organizations such as Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Hamas, which have carried out attacks against civilians and destabilized the region.

The German foreign minister stated that the Iranian leadership openly declares its goal of destroying the State of Israel, a reality that Germany cannot ignore. He stressed that confronting this threat requires international cooperation and a clear recognition of the dangers posed by Tehran’s aggressive policies.
