Netanyahu Mocks Viral AI Death Hoax, Laughs Off Propaganda While Showing His Hands On Camera

Israel’s prime minister ridicules online disinformation campaigns as enemies spread absurd AI conspiracy propaganda.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed viral rumors circulating online that falsely claimed he had died and that a recent video appearance of him was generated using artificial intelligence. The conspiracy theories spread rapidly across social media after users circulated a screenshot from a video of the prime minister, alleging that his hand appeared distorted and even appeared to show six fingers, a mistake commonly associated with AI-generated imagery.

Responding directly to the claims, Netanyahu dismissed the rumors with humor and sarcasm. When asked about the speculation that he was dead, the prime minister joked by using the Hebrew slang meaning being deeply enthusiastic about something. “I’m dead for coffee, for my people. They behave fantastically,” he said, turning the accusation into a lighthearted remark.

Netanyahu also addressed the supposed “evidence” behind the conspiracy theory. Raising his hands toward the camera, he mockingly invited viewers to verify for themselves that nothing unusual was present. “Want to count my fingers?” he said, clearly ridiculing the claims that had been circulating online.

The episode highlighted how disinformation and manipulated narratives frequently spread during times of conflict, often attempting to undermine leadership and confuse the public. Netanyahu’s response sought to deflate the rumors while reinforcing a message of calm and confidence amid ongoing tensions.
