US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth declared that Operation Epic Fury is progressing decisively, emphasizing that American forces are achieving clear and strategic victories against Iran. Speaking at a Pentagon briefing, he stated that the mission remains firmly aligned with its original objectives and continues to advance without deviation.
Hegseth underscored that US operations are systematically dismantling Iran’s military capabilities, including missile systems, launch platforms, and its broader defense industrial base to prevent any future rebuilding. He added that significant efforts are also focused on neutralizing Iran’s naval power and ensuring that Tehran is permanently denied the ability to develop nuclear weapons.
“We fight to win, and we are winning on our terms,” he stated, reinforcing that there is no fixed timeline for the campaign. Instead, success will be determined by the complete achievement of security objectives defined by President Donald Trump.
Highlighting the scale of the operation, Hegseth revealed that more than 7,000 targets across Iran have already been struck, with further escalation underway. He described the latest phase as the largest strike package so far, signaling intensified pressure on Iran’s military infrastructure.
Addressing global implications, Hegseth warned that Iran’s nuclear ambitions pose a direct threat not only to the Middle East but also to global stability and freedom.
