The Trump administration has moved swiftly to accelerate billions of dollars in weapons sales to key Gulf allies, signaling a strong and coordinated response to escalating threats from Iran. The US State Department confirmed that an “emergency” determination was made, allowing immediate approval of defense deals with the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Jordan. Under the agreement, the UAE will receive nearly $8.4 billion in advanced military systems, including air-to-air missiles, F-16 munitions, drone defense technologies, and long-range radar integrated with THAAD missile defense systems. Kuwait is set to acquire $8 billion worth of sophisticated air and missile defense radar systems, while Jordan will receive support packages for aircraft maintenance and munitions.
