Israeli Lawmaker Warns Weakness Invites Terror As Settlements Shield Nation From Devastating Attacks Ahead

Bold Security Push Defends Israel While Exposing Palestinian Militarization Threats And Left-Wing Dangerous Misjudgments.

Avichay Buaron, a member of the Likud, launched a forceful attack against left-wing parties during a speech in the Knesset, warning that failure to strengthen Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria could lead to catastrophic security consequences for Israel.

He cautioned that without a strong Jewish presence in the region, future large-scale attacks similar to the October 7 attacks could extend into central Israel. Buaron emphasized that residents in these areas live under constant threat, yet continue to serve as a critical frontline defense protecting the country’s core population centers.

Citing a report by Regavim, Buaron claimed that the Palestinian Authority has allegedly trained tens of thousands of fighters, describing it as a growing and direct threat. He praised residents of Judea and Samaria for their resilience, stating they stand guard “day and night” against ongoing dangers.

Buaron further argued that expanding Jewish settlements is not only ideological but essential for national security. He asserted that a stronger Israeli presence in Gaza Strip could have prevented past atrocities, reinforcing his broader position that territorial control directly impacts security outcomes.

Highlighting recent legislative progress, he noted that the Knesset advanced a bill offering tax incentives to residents of Judea and Samaria. The proposed benefits, ranging between 7% and 12%, are aimed at encouraging young families to relocate and strengthen the region demographically and strategically, despite strong opposition from left-wing factions.
