Netanyahu orders massive destruction of Iran’s weapons industry as diplomacy falters and threats intensify

Israel accelerates decisive strikes while Iran rejects peace terms and mocks diplomatic efforts amid escalating crisis.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered an intensified campaign to dismantle as much of Iran’s arms industry as possible within 48 hours, signaling a decisive escalation following renewed diplomatic efforts led by the United States. The directive came after Israel reviewed Washington’s proposed 15-point plan aimed at ending the conflict.

According to reports, Netanyahu made clear that while diplomatic channels are being explored, Israel will not compromise on its core security interests. In a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, Netanyahu acknowledged the potential for an agreement but emphasized that military operations would continue to ensure long-term security.

He stressed that Israeli forces are actively striking key targets in Iran and Lebanon, systematically degrading missile capabilities and nuclear infrastructure while delivering sustained blows to Hezbollah. Netanyahu highlighted recent targeted operations, including the elimination of senior nuclear figures, and signaled that further actions are imminent.

At the same time, diplomatic efforts appear increasingly strained. Reports from Reuters and The Wall Street Journal indicate that Iran has rejected the proposed framework, returning instead to previously dismissed demands. Iranian Revolutionary Guard spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari dismissed U.S. efforts, claiming that Washington is effectively “negotiating with itself,” underscoring Tehran’s hardened stance.

Amid this deadlock, Israel’s strategy reflects a dual approach—maintaining pressure through decisive military action while remaining prepared for any diplomatic outcome that safeguards its national security priorities.
