Israel reveals Iran’s deliberate civilian targeting as Sa’ar condemns Tehran’s attacks and defends Israel’s precise strikes.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar visited the site of an Iranian missile impact and sharply condemned the Iranian regime for deliberately targeting Israel’s civilian population. Standing at the scene of destruction, Sa’ar stressed that the international community must clearly understand the fundamental difference between Israel’s defensive operations and Iran’s indiscriminate aggression.
Sa’ar stated that Israel’s military actions are directed strictly at military infrastructure, regime targets, and strategic threats that endanger regional stability. In contrast, he said, the Iranian regime has consistently targeted civilian areas across Israel throughout the ongoing confrontation. According to Sa’ar, every casualty recorded during the two weeks of hostilities has been a civilian, underscoring the deliberate nature of Tehran’s attacks on non-combatants.
He emphasized that such actions constitute clear war crimes and reflect a pattern of behavior from the Iranian regime that the world has witnessed repeatedly. Sa’ar called on the global community to recognize the reality of Iran’s strategy, which he said aims to terrorize ordinary civilians rather than confront military forces.
During his visit, Sa’ar also announced that he would travel through nearby areas to inspect additional damage, including destruction caused to a mosque in the village. He stressed that the visible evidence of Iranian strikes should serve as a stark reminder to the international community of the regime’s willingness to attack civilian infrastructure and religious sites while Israel continues to focus on legitimate security targets.
