In a rare expression of awe and gratitude, Shas Party Chairman MK Aryeh Deri praised the newly signed hostage release agreement, calling it “an unprecedented achievement and a divine miracle.”
Speaking Friday morning, Deri said, “No one dreamed we would achieve such an agreement for the return of the hostages. Until now, the proposals on the table demanded a full withdrawal from Gaza and the surrender of control to Hamas. But today, the IDF remains firmly positioned — controlling over 50% of the Strip — while the hostages, both the living and the fallen, are on their way home. This is immense divine assistance.”
His remarks came as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began the first phase of their strategic repositioning toward the “yellow line,” in accordance with the Trump-led plan to facilitate the hostages’ release. Overnight, IDF engineering and logistics units dismantled forward strongpoints and defensive positions in Gaza, completing the operation before the noon deadline.
At 12:00 p.m. local time, the ceasefire officially takes effect, marking the start of the 72-hour countdown for Hamas to deliver on its commitment to free all remaining hostages.
As Israel prays and waits, Deri’s words echo across the nation: “This is not just diplomacy or strategy — this is divine providence guiding Israel’s hand toward redemption.”
