Prime minister vows relentless strikes on Tehran as Israel mourns victims and strengthens US alliance.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a dramatic address Sunday from the rooftop of the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv following a high-level security meeting with the defense establishment.
Standing alongside the nation’s top security leadership, Netanyahu announced that he had instructed Israel’s forces to intensify the ongoing campaign against Iran. He stated that Israel had eliminated Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei along with dozens of senior regime officials, describing the operation as a decisive strike against what he called an oppressive terror regime.
“Our forces are now striking at the heart of Tehran with increasing intensity,” Netanyahu declared, signaling that operations would expand further in the coming days.
The Prime Minister also addressed the deadly missile strike in Beit Shemesh that claimed nine lives. He acknowledged the heavy toll on civilians in both Tel Aviv and Beit Shemesh, expressing condolences to grieving families and wishing a swift recovery to the wounded.
Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is deploying the full strength of the Israel Defense Forces in what he described as an unprecedented campaign to secure the country’s existence and future. He underscored close coordination with the United States, citing support from President Donald Trump and the American military as a critical force multiplier.
Calling the coalition a historic alignment of power, Netanyahu said the moment fulfilled a long-held objective to dismantle the Iranian regime’s military capabilities. He concluded with a pledge that Israel would press forward until its strategic goals are achieved.
