A 12-year-old boy died Monday evening after falling from the sixth floor of a residential building in Ashkelon.
Emergency teams and police were called to the scene after receiving a report that a minor had fallen from a height. The boy was evacuated in critical condition to Barzilai Medical Center, where doctors later pronounced him dead.
Israel Police said officers and medical teams arrived quickly at the residential building and that the child was taken to hospital in serious condition before his death was confirmed.
Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
