UN ambassador says Poisoned Ivies exposes dangerous hatred while strengthening moral clarity and support for Israel”
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon praised Rep. Elise Stefanik during an Israel Justice Organization event celebrating the release of her new book, Poisoned Ivies.
Speaking to attendees, Danon thanked Stefanik for her devotion and dedication to Israel, calling her “a lioness” who fights courageously in Congress.
Danon said he expects Stefanik to continue rising in influence and serve in important roles for both the United States and Israel.
He linked her book, which focuses on antisemitism and radicalization on university campuses, to a wider global crisis. Danon said he recently spoke with the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, who told him the UAE no longer permits state-funded students to study in the United Kingdom because of concerns over extremist ideas spreading on campuses there.
Danon said radical ideology has taken hold in universities abroad and praised Stefanik for exposing similar dangers in the United States. He said Poisoned Ivies shows a path toward moral clarity and a stronger fight against antisemitism, hate and dangerous radicalization.
The ambassador also thanked the audience for standing with Israel during a time of intense international pressure.
“We are winning. We are strong. We will prevail,” Danon told the crowd, concluding with “Am Yisrael Chai.”
