Two dead, eight injured, in Philadelphia shooting

At least two of the victims are teens, local reports say.

Two people were killed Monday night and at least eight others were injured in a shooting in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park, local reports said.

Local reports claimed that two of the victims were “juveniles” but no ages were available.

Later, NBC Philadelphia raised the number of injured to nine, stating that three teenage victims are in stable condition.

Two adults, a man and a woman, were identified as the victims killed in the shooting.

The media outlet also reported that gunfire erupted at around 10:30 p.m., “during a large gathering.”

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. An investigation is underway and the scene has been closed off.
