Israeli murdered in attack at Gush Etzion supermarket

At least two terrorists were reported neutralized. An Israeli was critically wounded and later declared dead from the attack.

A 20-year-old Israeli civilian was critically injured in a stabbing attack on Thursday afternoon at the Rami Levi shopping complex near the Gush Etzion junction. Despite emergency medical efforts, he was later pronounced dead.

According to initial findings, two Palestinian terrorists arrived at the site armed with knives and launched a brutal assault on a security guard, stabbing him in the upper body. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics attempted to resuscitate the victim, but his injuries proved fatal. MDA Director General Eli Bin confirmed that the guard had also sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body, though the source of the gunfire is still under investigation.

Security forces responded swiftly, neutralizing both attackers at the scene. Israeli forces are now probing whether the assailants were also carrying firearms at the time of the attack.

A large contingent of IDF soldiers, Israel Police, and emergency personnel quickly deployed to the area to secure the site, provide medical treatment, and ensure no further threats remained. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed that “a security incident occurred at the Gush Etzion Junction,” adding that forces had “rushed to the scene” and that the situation is under ongoing investigation.

This attack marks yet another grim reminder of the persistent threat facing civilians and security personnel across Israel.
