Israel Heritage Foundation Honors U.S.–Israel Ties with Pre-July 4th Celebration and Book Signing Event in NYC
The Israel Heritage Foundation hosted a remarkable gathering in New York City ahead of the Fourth of July, celebrating American freedom and its enduring alliance with Israel. The evening featured a special book signing by Johnny Joey Jones, Fox News contributor and author of the bestselling Behind the Badge, along with a powerful lineup of distinguished speakers.
Renowned tenor Christopher Macchio elevated the event with his moving performance, while notable Israeli dignitaries brought depth and insight to the evening. Among them were Col. (Res.) Aviram A. Hasson, Director of the Israeli Ministry of Defense Mission to the USA & Canada, and Ido Aharoni, veteran diplomat and founder of the “Brand Israel” initiative. Their presence underscored the importance of defense, diplomacy, and national identity in turbulent times.
The event also welcomed Dr. Wafik El-Deiry, Associate Dean for Oncologic Sciences at Brown University, highlighting the intersection of science, resilience, and cross-cultural cooperation.
Guests had the opportunity to personally engage with Johnny Joey Jones, whose book has resonated with many for its deep reflections on service, sacrifice, and patriotism.
In a stirring address, Rabbi Elie Weinstock emphasized the spiritual foundation shared by both nations. He drew attention to a profound commonality: the acknowledgment of divine providence in national life. “Despite our military strength and political institutions, both the United States and Israel have always relied on faith in something greater,” Rabbi Weinstock said. He highlighted this through two powerful mottos — “Besiyata Dishmaya” (Aramaic for “with God’s help”), commonly used in Israel, and America’s official creed: “In God We Trust.”
At a time when both nations confront internal and external challenges, the evening served as a reminder of the values that unite them — faith, freedom, and unwavering resolve.
