IDF Chief Vows: Gaza Will Never Threaten Israel Again — Combat Will Continue Until Hamas Is Defeated

IDF Chief Eyal Zamir visited frontline troops in Gaza, declaring Israel’s mission to eradicate Hamas, honoring fallen soldiers, and signaling that hostage negotiations hinge on ongoing military gains.

“We will ensure Gaza never threatens Israel again — not now, not ever.”

That was the uncompromising pledge from IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir today (Wednesday) during a high-stakes field assessment in the heart of the Gaza Strip. Joined by Southern Command chief MG Yaniv Asor, 162nd Division commander BG Sagiv Dahan, and senior military leadership, Zamir toured active combat zones, addressed Givati Brigade commanders, and reinforced Israel’s commitment to victory — no matter the cost.

Speaking from Beit Hanoun, an epicenter of current operations, Zamir didn’t mince words:

“This war carries a painful cost. Just two days ago, we lost three of our brave soldiers from the 401st Brigade. Their sacrifice weighs heavily on us — but it is the price of safeguarding our homeland.”

Zamir confirmed that over 1,300 terrorists have been eliminated in recent weeks, including high-ranking Nukhba operatives from the October 7 massacre.

“We now control 75% of Gaza operationally. That’s not just a statistic — that’s strategic progress,” he declared.

But with victory on the horizon, Zamir warned of a critical juncture:

“We are nearing a decisive crossroads. If a hostage deal is reached — and hostages return home — it will be thanks to your combat. If no agreement is reached, my order is clear: expand and intensify combat beyond current levels. Hit harder. Go deeper. Finish the mission.”

He also paid tribute to Hadar Goldin, the Givati officer still held in Gaza since 2014’s Operation Protective Edge:

“This week marks 4,000 days since Hadar was taken. We have an unshakable duty to bring him, and all hostages, back. We will not rest.”

With unwavering determination, Zamir made it clear: the IDF will press forward, undeterred — with courage, strategy, and sacrifice — until Hamas is dismantled and every Israeli captive comes home.
