Knesset Declares Sovereignty: Lands of Judea, Samaria & Jordan Valley “Forever Israeli”

In a landmark vote, Israel’s Knesset affirms its historic and legal claim to Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, calling for full sovereignty and rejecting the creation of a Palestinian state.

Jerusalem —
In a thunderous declaration of national resolve, Israel’s Knesset voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to affirm the State of Israel’s natural, historical, and legal right to sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, declaring these regions an inseparable part of the Jewish homeland.

The resolution passed with 71 votes in favor, opposed only by the 13 MKs from Arab factions and Yair Golan’s “Democrats” party. Notably, Blue and White and Yesh Atid boycotted the vote, marking a sharp divide in the Israeli political landscape.

The resolution emphasized that cities such as Hebron, Shechem (Nablus), Shiloh, and Beit El are more than settlements — they are living testaments to the ancient, unbroken Jewish presence in the Land of Israel.

In the aftermath of October 7, the Knesset stated unequivocally that a Palestinian state would constitute a direct existential threat to Israel, and that such an idea is no longer viable or on the national agenda.

“This is a historical milestone,” said Yisrael Ganz, Governor of the Binyamin Regional Council and head of the Yesha Council. “The broad Zionist consensus demonstrated today proves the people of Israel are united in their call to reclaim and secure their ancestral land. The time to apply full sovereignty is now.”

The resolution, spearheaded by MKs Simcha Rothman, Oded Forer, Dan Illouz, and Limor Son Har-Melech, urged the Israeli government to immediately extend Israeli law, jurisdiction, and administration across all Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.

“We are at a critical and historic juncture,” Ganz added. “This vote is not just symbolic—it is a rallying cry for sovereignty, security, and Jewish destiny.”

In its final lines, the resolution called on international allies to stand with Israel, support “the return to Zion and the vision of the prophets,” and recognize the Jewish people’s unassailable right to peace, security, and permanence in their land.
