IDF’s ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ Strikes Deep: Givati Brigade Wipes Out Terror Cell in Beit Hanoun Tunnel Fortress

Israeli Givati Brigade forces, backed by Yahalom commandos, eliminate terrorists hiding in a fortified tunnel near Ashkelon-Sderot rail line as part of Operation “Gideon’s Chariots.”

Northern Gaza Strip — In a decisive blow to Hamas’ underground terror network, IDF’s Givati Brigade, under the 162nd Division, has struck deep into the Beit Hanoun sector as part of Operation “Gideon’s Chariots.”

During joint operations with elite Yahalom combat engineers, the troops located and engaged a terrorist cell concealed inside a fortified tunnel — just five kilometers from the Ashkelon-Sderot railway line, a critical civilian transport route.

The two-kilometer-long tunnel was no ordinary hideout — it housed living quarters, AK-47 rifles, and explosive devices. The IDF confirmed that the terrorists were eliminated on the spot, neutralizing a dangerous threat to Israeli communities.

Since the start of this offensive, Givati Brigade forces have killed multiple terrorists in Beit Hanoun and systematically dismantled terror infrastructure both above and below ground, further crippling Hamas’ operational capabilities in northern Gaza.

Operation “Gideon’s Chariots” continues to target Hamas’ leadership, weapon stockpiles, and tunnel networks, ensuring they can no longer be used to launch attacks on Israel.
