Rami Davidian, who saved dozens during the October 7 Nova massacre, calls for a decisive Israeli victory by reclaiming Gaza, rejects political branding, and hits back at accusations questioning his heroism.
Jerusalem — Rami Davidian, the man credited with saving dozens of terrified partygoers during the October 7 Hamas massacre at the Nova music festival, delivered a passionate and unapologetic vision for Israel’s future at the Israeli Right’s Vision Conference.
Davidian dismissed the idea that attending the conference made his message political. Instead, he framed his call for action as a moral and strategic imperative born from the horrors he witnessed that day.
“From the first day of the war, I believed the right response was to flatten the area and build homes for soldiers and the families of massacre victims on the land of Gaza. That, to me, is true victory,” Davidian declared.
Not a Left-Right Divide
Rejecting the narrative that such views belong exclusively to the political Right, Davidian stressed his 17 years of working with Palestinian Authority personnel.
“I know their mentality. When you take their land, you take their life,” he said, underscoring that his stance comes from firsthand experience, not ideology.
Fading Memory, Dangerous Division
Davidian expressed deep concern that Israel is already losing focus on the brutality of October 7.
“I saw the terrible scenes. I cried with my eyes shut in the field. I covered bodies and body parts. Now I see division and arguments in our nation — and it shouldn’t be happening,” he said, condemning the harsh rhetoric dominating public discourse.
He lamented the loss of Gush Katif, the Jewish communities dismantled in the 2005 disengagement from Gaza:
“If Gush Katif had remained, October 7th would not have happened. They would have protected us from there.”
Defending His Heroism
Davidian also addressed recent media attempts to undermine his rescue story, dismissing accusations as false and politically motivated.
“Every word I said is true. I directed dozens of young people to escape routes for hours — that was a true rescue,” he asserted.
The attacks, he believes, aim to paint him as a partisan figure and block him from receiving official recognition from the President of Israel.
“I am a man for everyone — just as on October 7th, when I saved everyone without asking who they were.”
