Trump: Israel’s Gaza Future “Up to Them” — Slams Hamas Hostage Horror as “Horrible”

President Donald Trump says Israel alone will decide Gaza’s fate, while condemning Hamas’s shocking hostage torture video as “horrible.”

U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday addressed mounting speculation over Israel’s potential reconquering of the Gaza Strip, making it clear that the decision rests entirely with the Israeli government.

Asked if he supports full Israeli control over Gaza — a move reportedly under serious consideration in Jerusalem — Trump refrained from endorsing or rejecting the idea.
“Well, I don’t know what the suggestion is,” Trump told reporters. “I know that we are there now trying to get people fed. As you know, $60 million was given by the United States fairly recently to supply food — a lot of food, frankly — for the people of Gaza who are obviously not doing too well with the food.”

The President said humanitarian coordination is ongoing with Israel and regional Arab states. “Israel is going to help us with distribution and money. Arab states are also going to help us with money and possibly distribution. That’s what I’m focused on.”

Pressed again about Israel retaking Gaza, Trump stated bluntly: “As far as the rest of it, I really can’t say. That’s going to be pretty much up to Israel.”

Trump also weighed in on a disturbing new video released by Hamas, showing abducted Israeli hostage Evyatar David — emaciated, hollow-eyed, and digging what he says is his own grave inside a Hamas tunnel.
“I have, yeah. I think it’s horrible,” Trump said. “And I hope a lot of people do get to see it, as bad as it is, because I think it’s a horrible thing.”

The hostage video has fueled international outrage and renewed calls for a decisive resolution to the hostage crisis, even as debates over Gaza’s future intensify.
