PA Spokesman Accuses Israel of ‘Closing the Door on Peace’ with Plans to Reoccupy Gaza and Annex West Bank

Nabil Abu Rudeineh warns Israel’s alleged territorial ambitions and war expansion will destroy any chance of security and stability in the region.

Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority (PA), has launched a scathing attack on Israel, claiming its policies — including an alleged intent to “reoccupy Gaza, annex the West Bank, and Judaize Jerusalem” — would permanently shut the door on achieving security and stability in the Middle East.

Abu Rudeineh accused Israel of ignoring international condemnation and dismissing warnings from world powers about expanding the war. He said such actions defy the global community’s efforts to achieve peace under what he described as “legitimate international resolutions.”

Reaffirming the PA’s position, he declared that Gaza is an inseparable part of the land the PA calls the “State of Palestine,” alongside Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria. “A Palestinian state cannot exist without Gaza — nor solely in Gaza,” he stressed.

Abu Rudeineh urged the UN Security Council to intervene immediately to:

  • End the war
  • Allow humanitarian aid into Gaza
  • Enable the PA to assume full control of the territory

He also called on the US administration to restrain Israel and halt what he termed “settler terrorism” in Judea and Samaria.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions, as both sides exchange blame for the collapse of ceasefire efforts and the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
