In a direct video address to the Iranian people, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Tehran’s rulers for the nation’s deepening water crisis, offered Israeli expertise to restore rivers and lakes, and urged Iranians to rise up for freedom.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has delivered an unprecedented message to the people of Iran, accusing their leaders of plunging the country into economic collapse, environmental disaster, and political repression — while offering Israel’s world-leading water technology as a lifeline for a future free Iran.
“Greetings from Jerusalem, to the proud people of Iran,” Netanyahu began. “Your leaders forced the 12 Day War on us, and they lost miserably. They lie through their teeth — but on rare occasions, they tell the truth.”
Quoting Iran’s own president, who recently admitted that “there won’t be any water in the dams by September or October”, Netanyahu described a nation on the brink. “In this brutal summer heat, you don’t even have clean, cold water to give your children,” he said. “Such hypocrisy. Such disdain for the Iranian people. To live like this is not fair to you. It’s not fair to your children.”
Touting Israel as the #1 water recycler in the world, recycling 90% of its wastewater and leading in desalination, Netanyahu pledged that “the moment your country is free, Israel’s top water experts will flood into every Iranian city with cutting-edge technology.”
Painting a vivid picture, he urged Iranians to “imagine water skiing in the Karaj Dam again… strolling along a bountiful Farahzad River… seeing Urmia Lake restored to its former beauty.”
But his message went beyond water. Netanyahu accused the regime of 46 years of “tyranny and poverty”, silencing dissidents, killing reformers, and squandering hundreds of billions of dollars on Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis instead of hospitals, schools, and infrastructure.
“You, the descendants of Cyrus the Great, deserve much more,” he declared. “Take to the streets. Demand justice. Demand accountability. Protest tyranny. Build a better future for your families. Do not let these fanatic mullahs ruin your lives for a minute longer.”
In closing, Netanyahu pledged unwavering support: “You are not alone. Israel stands with you. The entire free world stands with you. The tyrants of Tehran will not last long. Soon, your country will be free. Water will be plentiful. Your economy will thrive. Your children will be joyous and carefree again.
