Temple Mount Movements Unite Under New Steering Committee to Boost Jewish Visits

In a landmark show of unity, all Temple Mount movements have joined forces under a new steering committee to enhance visitor support, strengthen ties with police, and encourage more Jews to ascend the holy site “in purity and joy.”

In response to the surging number of visitors to the Temple Mount and growing demands for improved services, all major Temple Mount organizations have announced the creation of a unified steering committee.

The new body will include representatives from every Temple Mount movement, ensuring broad representation for visitors, addressing their inquiries, and providing better logistical and spiritual support. A key mandate will be to maintain continuous communication with the police to improve coordination and visitor well-being.

Ben-Gvir Meeting Sparks Unified Action

The initiative took shape after a major gathering of Temple Mount activists with National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The meeting highlighted the need for cooperation, prompting groups to put aside differences and form a joint body dedicated to promoting Jewish ascents to the Mount.

‘A First Step on a Long and Welcomed Path’

In a joint statement, organizers hailed the move as “the first step on a long and welcomed path”, aimed at increasing Jewish presence on the Temple Mount.

Ayala Ben-Gvir, a longtime member of the Temple Mount visitors’ steering committee, welcomed the expanded framework:

“There is nothing more gratifying than expanding the committee to include representatives from all active organizations… We hope, God willing, that the many visitors will find attentive ears to their numerous needs.”

The newly formed committee plans to streamline visitor services, ensure respectful unity among groups, and encourage more Jews to ascend “in purity and joy” — reinforcing the Temple Mount’s central place in Jewish spiritual life.
