Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the IDF’s achievements during a frontline visit, declaring that Hamas is collapsing under pressure as Israel prepares the next phase of operations in Gaza.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Gaza Division on Monday, meeting with senior IDF command staff and reviewing plans for the next stage of the war. Standing alongside military leaders, Netanyahu hailed the “tremendous achievements of the IDF” and underscored that Hamas is crumbling under severe pressure.
“I expressed, on behalf of the Government of Israel and in my own name, immense appreciation for the IDF’s achievements in this War of Resistance—the war on seven fronts,” Netanyahu declared.
IDF Spirit and Hostage Mission
Netanyahu highlighted the unwavering determination of Israeli soldiers, saying he was deeply moved by their fighting spirit and resolve to finish Hamas’s defeat while securing the release of all hostages.
He revealed that he held detailed discussions with the Defense Minister and Chief of Staff about operational plans for the city of Gaza, stressing that the IDF remains on course to complete its missions.
“Like you, I hear the reports in the media, and from them you can conclude one thing: Hamas is under enormous pressure,” Netanyahu asserted.
Ceasefire Proposal in Play
The visit came as Arab media reported that Hamas may agree to a new Egypt-Qatar proposal. According to the reports, the deal includes:
- The release of 10 living Israeli hostages and 18 bodies.
- The entry of humanitarian aid through the Red Crescent and UN.
- A 60-day ceasefire, with negotiations for a broader agreement to follow.
If confirmed, Hamas’s acceptance would mark its most significant concession since October 7, signaling both military weakness and diplomatic maneuvering under fire.
