IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and WFP chief Cindy McCain discussed aid delivery to Gaza, stressing Israel’s commitment to feeding civilians while bypassing Hamas’s manipulation.
On Wednesday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir held a high-level meeting with World Food Programme (WFP) Executive Director Cindy McCain, focusing on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The talks, attended by COGAT head Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, highlighted Israel’s ongoing efforts to stabilize conditions for Gaza’s civilians while exposing what officials called Hamas’s “false campaign” of disinformation regarding famine.
COGAT presented operational steps already taken to facilitate food and aid delivery into Gaza, along with work plans to improve direct access for civilians in the months ahead.
Lt. Gen. Zamir underscored the IDF’s commitment to humanitarian responsibility even amid war:
“We are determined to prevent famine and will continue enabling aid to reach Gaza’s civilians directly—not Hamas.”
The meeting with McCain comes as Israel seeks to counter international criticism by showcasing its coordination with global relief agencies and its strategy of ensuring aid bypasses Hamas’s control. On Wednesday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.
