North London Horror: Man on E-Scooter Arrested After Brutal Antisemitic Attacks on Jewish Women and Child

Orthodox Jewish women and a three-year-old child were assaulted in Stamford Hill by a man on an e-scooter, prompting outrage and a swift police arrest.

A shocking wave of antisemitic violence struck Stamford Hill, north London, on Monday afternoon when a man riding an e-scooter launched a series of unprovoked assaults on Orthodox Jewish women and a young child.

The first attack occurred in the Clapton Common area, where the suspect allegedly rammed his scooter into a 21-year-old woman while hurling an antisemitic slur. She suffered a fractured arm, bruised leg, and facial injuries before being rushed to hospital for treatment.

Moments later, the same man was caught on video charging his scooter at another Orthodox Jewish woman, aged 24, who was walking with her three-year-old daughter. Both mother and child were knocked to the ground, leaving the toddler described as “shocked and traumatized.”

Jewish community watch group Shomrim, which monitored the incidents, condemned the attacks as “unprovoked antisemitic assaults” and “a shocking act of rogue violence against women and girls.” Volunteers pursued the suspect until Metropolitan Police officers arrived and arrested him.

Police confirmed the man was taken into custody on suspicion of racially aggravated common assault and common assault.

The brutal daylight attacks have reignited fears about the rising tide of antisemitic violence across Europe and the UK, with Stamford Hill’s Jewish community once again left shaken.
