In a major blow to Iran’s proxy network, the IDF confirmed the elimination of 12 senior Houthi military and government leaders in Yemen, vowing to continue dismantling terror threats “wherever and whenever required.”
The IDF announced Thursday that it successfully eliminated 12 senior figures of the Houthi terrorist regime in a powerful strike carried out last week near Sanaa, Yemen.
The operation targeted a military command facility where senior Houthi officers and government ministers were actively directing terrorist operations against Israel.
According to the IDF, the Houthis have systematically exploited civilian infrastructure as a cover for their military buildup, siphoning an estimated $1.5 billion away from Yemen’s people and into weapons and terror funding.
Beyond direct attacks on Israel, the Houthis have waged an ongoing campaign in the Red Sea, seeking to disrupt global shipping lanes and undermine freedom of navigation — actions with severe ripple effects on the international economy.
The IDF stressed that the Houthis remain a core proxy of Iran, supplied with weapons and money to expand Tehran’s regional war machine.
A situational review of the strike’s full results is still underway, but the IDF declared it will “continue to act with determination and strength to remove any threat to the State of Israel, wherever and whenever required.”
