In a new propaganda video, Hamas parades Israeli hostages Guy Gilboa-Dalal and Alon Ohel through Gaza, stoking psychological warfare as families plead for their safe return.
Hamas on Friday published a new video showing Israeli hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal alongside fellow captive Alon Ohel, in what Israeli officials are calling another act of psychological warfare.
According to Hamas, the footage was filmed last week. Gilboa-Dalal is seen being driven through Gaza City by his captors, where he encounters Ohel and learns that at least eight hostages are being held in the city.
In the recording, Gilboa-Dalal appeals to the Israeli public to take to the streets in protest and directly addresses his fellow hostages Omer Wenkert and Tal Shoham, urging them to join demonstrations, saying: “This is my last opportunity.”
The video comes as part of Hamas’ ongoing psychological operations intended to sap Israeli morale and fuel internal divisions. It was reportedly filmed just two days before Hamas spokesman Abu Obaida was eliminated.
Military correspondent Doron Kadosh noted that Abu Obaida had banked on psychological terror to halt the IDF’s “Gideon’s Chariots II” operation and prevent Israeli forces from advancing into Gaza City.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir blasted the video, saying: “Hamas’ psychological terrorism is designed to stop our actions in Gaza. The only answer is total conquest, absolute defeat, and encouraging mass migration. Only then will we defeat them and bring our hostages home.”
Gilboa-Dalal’s family expressed both relief and anguish: “We received a sign of life from our Guy today, half a year after the last video. Guy, Alon, and other hostages have been moved to Gaza and we are deeply worried for their lives. We must bring them home.”Hamas on Friday published a new video showing Israeli hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal alongside fellow captive Alon Ohel, in what Israeli officials are calling another act of psychological warfare.
