Knaves and Fools: How Anti-Israel Obsessions Overtake Facts and Reason

From the UN General Assembly circus to city councils in New Zealand, anti-Israel rhetoric thrives on deceit and ignorance. The “knaves and fools” of our age repeat old lies with new slogans—while Jewish communities are left exposed and silent.

The world has never lacked for knaves and fools—the deceitful, the dishonest, and the wilfully ignorant. But today, their voices are amplified louder than ever, targeting Israel and dragging Jewish communities into collateral damage.

As the UN General Assembly prepares for its annual farce, the spectacle will once again showcase sanctimonious speeches and selective condemnations. Figures like Mahmoud Abbas enjoy a halo effect on the world stage, just as Yasser Arafat once did in Geneva, gun strapped to his side, cheered on as a “man of peace.” The result? Decades of legitimized hypocrisy.

From Sydney to Auckland: The Rent-a-Crowd Playbook

The pattern repeats itself across Western democracies. Following the so-called “march for humanity” in Sydney, New Zealand activists now plan to replicate the stunt on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, flags of terror groups waving in the name of “freedom of expression.”

Authorities fold in the face of mob intimidation, while governments issue knee-jerk reactions that embolden agitators. Imitation is the name of the game—from city to city, the same recycled slogans and placards appear, courtesy of organizers with suspicious funding streams.

Wellington’s Descent Into BDS Folly

Even local councils aren’t immune. In Wellington, the mayor proudly declared a BDS policy, pledging to block investment in Israeli bonds or businesses. Instead of fixing crumbling infrastructure or addressing homelessness, the city obsesses over Israel with ignorant, slogan-driven pronouncements.

The silence from Jewish communal leadership was deafening. Where once anti-defamation groups and community leaders would push back robustly, today the response is often muted—resigned to invisibility. History has shown, tragically, that keeping quiet never protects Jewish communities.

Greta’s Gaza Flotilla and Irish Lunacy

Meanwhile, Greta Thunberg has traded climate activism for anti-Israel theatrics, sailing toward Gaza with a flotilla of “activists.” Aid is not the goal—publicity is. Ironically, her voyage was already delayed by a storm. Perhaps a message from nature itself.

In Ireland, more than 50 medical consultants demanded that the government ban Israeli-made Teva pharmaceuticals. Apparently, Irish patients should suffer rather than be treated with life-saving Israeli medicines. Surveys now rank Ireland as the most hostile country toward Israel in Europe—a badge of shame rather than honor.

A World Turned Upside Down

From New Zealand’s mayors to Irish doctors, from Greta’s stunt flotillas to the UN’s grand hypocrisy, the knaves and fools are multiplying. Each week, their antics grow louder, their lies spread faster, and their mobs grow bigger.

The tragedy is not just the venom directed at Israel. It is the erosion of truth, reason, and democracy itself. When mobs dictate morality and lies masquerade as justice, the real danger is not only to Israel—but to the entire free world.
