After a deadly terror attack in Jerusalem killed seven, Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed to crush Hamas, praised armed civilians, and urged Israel’s courts to act with the same resolve as the battlefield.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rushed Monday to the site of the murderous terror attack at Jerusalem’s Ramot junction, where seven civilians were killed and seven more wounded, including four in serious condition.
Standing at the bloodstained scene, Netanyahu declared:
“We are at war with terror on several fronts. We will destroy Hamas and free our hostages. Sadly, we were unable to prevent this morning’s attack.”
He praised the swift response that prevented even greater carnage, highlighting the bravery of both soldiers and armed civilians:
“A soldier from the haredi Chashmonaim Brigade acted with amazing composure. Two armed haredi civilians assisted him. We must understand that we are all in this war — we must stand together.”
In a striking move, Netanyahu, whose court testimony was canceled due to the attack, turned his words toward the judiciary:
“Court — you are also in this war, you are also part of this war. We do not go easy on our enemies; we strike them forcefully — and so you should act in the same way as well.”
The attack, which claimed seven lives, has deepened Israel’s sense of vulnerability even as it wages war in Gaza. Netanyahu’s fiery remarks underscored his message: every sector of Israeli society, from the army to the courts, is enlisted in the battle for survival.
