US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), one of Israel’s most outspoken allies in Washington, issued a fiery statement Tuesday backing the Israeli strike in Doha, Qatar, which targeted the leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization.
‘This Is Your Fate’
Taking to X, Graham wrote:
“To those who planned and cheered on the October 7 attack against Israel, the United States’ greatest ally in the region: This is your fate.”
Message to Palestinians
Graham directly addressed the Palestinian people, urging them to abandon Hamas:
“Your future depends on the political and military demise of Hamas. If Hamas lays down their weapons tomorrow, one of the most promising chapters in the history of the Palestinian people can begin.”
Appeal for Surrender
The senator stressed that the fastest path to peace is Hamas’s capitulation:
“To those who want this war to end: Insist that Hamas surrender now.”
Pledge to Israel
Reaffirming his unwavering support, Graham said:
“To my Israeli friends: I understand your determination to ensure there are no more October 7 attacks and that those who want to destroy the Jewish state are denied that capability. I will always be your partner in this endeavor.”
Warning to Hezbollah and Syria
Graham ended with a pointed message to Israel’s northern adversaries:
“To Lebanon: Hezbollah is on my mind. To Syria: Choose wisely.”
His remarks come as the international community remains deeply divided over Israel’s unprecedented strike inside Qatar, with France, Germany, and the US administration expressing concern, while pro-Israel lawmakers in Washington like Graham have doubled down on their backing.
