Brig. Gen. Avigdor Kahalani: “I Don’t Care What Europe Thinks—Israel Will Protect Its House”

Israeli war hero Brigadier General (res.) Avigdor Kahalani praises IDF soldiers, warns Hamas will never release hostages, and blasts international critics for abandoning their own countries.

In a fiery interview with Arutz Sheva – Israel National News, Brigadier General (res.) Avigdor Kahalani spoke with raw honesty about the war in Gaza, the plight of hostages, the heroism of IDF soldiers, and the hypocrisy of international pressure.

On the hostages, Kahalani was blunt:

“Everybody has tears in their eyes. We do everything we can to protect them. But Hamas only uses the hostages to negotiate against Israel. I don’t believe they will ever release them.”

Turning to the IDF, he delivered heartfelt praise:

“Our soldiers behave exceptionally well. Their mission is Gaza City, and I know they will succeed. They love our country, they fight for our future. We salute them, we need them, and we thank them.”

When asked about mounting global pressure, Kahalani dismissed it without hesitation:

“I don’t care about what Europe thinks. France, England, Sweden, Belgium—they’ve already lost their countries. I care about Israel, my kids, my grandchildren. I will protect my house, no matter what they say.”

Finally, on Israel’s goal in Gaza, Kahalani explained:

“We are not here to kill every Hamas operative. We fight to protect Israel’s safety and bring quiet to our people. That is our mission, and that is our priority.”

Kahalani’s words reflect the unbreakable spirit of Israel—defiant, unapologetic, and focused on survival in a world quick to condemn but slow to understand the Jewish state’s reality.
