Trump and Musk Reunite at Charlie Kirk Memorial: From Feud to Fragile Truce

After months of public sparring, President Trump and Tesla’s Elon Musk appeared together at Charlie Kirk’s memorial, signaling a potential thaw in their once-bitter feud.

For the first time in months, U.S. President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were seen together on Sunday — not at a rally or boardroom, but at the solemn memorial for slain conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk.

The two men were spotted in a private suite in Arizona, speaking at length. A photo released by the White House’s official social media account captured the moment, while another scene showed Trump introducing Musk to UFC president Dana White — a symbolic gesture that hinted at reconciliation.

Their reunion comes after a bitter feud that erupted when Musk left his post as head of Trump’s short-lived Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk blasted Trump’s budget plan as a “disgusting abomination,” prompting the President to threaten federal contracts awarded to SpaceX and Starlink.

What followed was an online firestorm. Musk accused Trump of relying on his support to win in 2024, even teasing the idea of launching his own political party. At one point, Musk echoed calls for Trump’s impeachment, only to later apologize for the “too harsh” tone of his remarks.

Now, in the shadow of Charlie Kirk’s tragic death, Trump and Musk’s public reunion signals at least a fragile truce. Whether this détente will last — or devolve once again into Silicon Valley-versus-White House warfare — remains an open question.

One thing is clear: the memorial for Kirk, a staunch defender of faith, family, and Israel, has already reshaped America’s conservative landscape — not only by mourning a martyr, but by forcing unlikely allies to meet under one roof.
