The UN has added nearly 70 companies to its blacklist for supporting Jewish life in Judea and Samaria—Israel dismisses it as a political stunt rooted in bias, vowing Jewish communities will continue to grow.
The United Nations Human Rights Council has once again exposed its bias against Israel, announcing the expansion of its so-called “database of companies” accused of operating in or serving Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. The blacklist now includes 158 firms from 11 countries, most of them Israeli, across industries from construction and finance to tourism and transport.
Among the new additions are Germany’s Heidelberg Materials, Portugal’s Steconfer, Spain’s Ineco, and several American travel giants including Expedia, Booking Holdings, and Airbnb. At the same time, seven companies—including France’s Alstom—were removed.
🎯 A Decade-Old Tool of Political Pressure
The list was first created nearly a decade ago by the UNHRC. Israel and the United States have consistently condemned it as an illegitimate and discriminatory maneuver that singles out the Jewish state while ignoring global conflicts and occupations. The blacklist carries no legal authority and functions solely as a mechanism of public shaming.
🇮🇱 Israel’s Response
Jerusalem has dismissed the list as meaningless, underscoring that:
- Over half a million Jews live in Judea and Samaria.
- 200,000 Jews live in eastern Jerusalem, Israel’s eternal and united capital.
- Jewish communities are an integral part of the biblical and historical homeland of the Jewish people.
Israeli officials stress that there are no plans to dismantle these communities. On the contrary, Israel continues to advance new housing projects across Judea and Samaria, driven by both security imperatives and demographic realities.
📌 Bottom Line
The UN may try to blacklist Jewish communities, but Israel is building a future in its ancestral land. The half-million residents of Judea and Samaria, together with Jerusalem’s Jewish population, stand as living proof that no blacklist can erase Jewish history or Israel’s rights.
