Rep. Chase Tramont introduces landmark bill renaming the “West Bank” as Judea and Samaria, affirming Israel’s sovereignty and rejecting international pressure.
Florida Representative Chase Tramont has officially introduced a groundbreaking bill that would ban the use of the term “West Bank” in all Florida state documents, replacing it with the historically accurate term “Judea and Samaria.”
The initiative comes after Tramont’s recent visit to Israel, where he toured Samaria and met with Samaria Council President Yossi Dagan. If passed, Florida will become the 11th US state to legally enshrine the biblical names of Israel’s heartland.
“There will never be a separation between the US and Israel,” Tramont declared. “We are here to get through this with you. This is the land of Israel, and the failed two-state solution will never work. We start with recognition, and then we move toward true sovereignty.”
Dagan warmly praised Tramont’s leadership:
“We, the pioneering Jews living the Bible in Judea and Samaria, know we are not alone. And you are not alone either. We are together forever, standing for historical justice, for the security of Israel and the United States, against the lies of Macron and other leaders who call our land ‘occupied.’ This land is Israel — eternally.”
Tramont emphasized the moral clarity behind his bill:
“With this bill, Florida sends a clear message: we stand with Israel, honor truth over falsehood, and affirm the eternal connection between the Jewish people and their homeland. Judea and Samaria was, is, and will remain sovereign Israeli territory.”
He also blasted international hypocrisy, especially after Britain, France, Australia, and Canada recognized a Palestinian state:
“The UN’s accusations of genocide are obscene lies. If Israel wanted genocide, it could have done so on October 8. No nation has ever fought with such care to protect civilians. Every casualty is a tragedy, but Hamas alone bears the responsibility. To suggest the PA is a ‘better’ option is insanity.”
Tramont’s Florida bill aligns with federal legislation championed by Congresswoman Claudia Tenney and backed by Samaria Council lobbying efforts in Washington. Former President Donald Trump has also expressed support under the “Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act.”
In an era when Europe rewards terror with statehood, Florida is charting a different path: truth, justice, and unshakable solidarity with Israel.
