UK Backs Trump’s Peace Plan: Cooper Demands Hamas Accept Deal or Face “Sad End”

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper welcomed President Trump’s 21-point peace initiative for Gaza, urging Hamas to release hostages, disarm, and accept the plan already backed by Israel and Arab states.

London Aligns with Washington and Jerusalem

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper voiced strong support Tuesday for the U.S.-brokered 21-point plan aimed at ending the Gaza war.

“We strongly welcome the U.S. initiative to end the war and suffering in Gaza. We urgently need ceasefire, hostage release and surging aid. Hamas must accept the plan,” Cooper declared.

She emphasized the UK’s readiness to work with President Trump, Israel, and regional partners to achieve “lasting peace and security.”

Core of the Trump Plan

The deal, which has already been endorsed by Israel, Arab, and Muslim nations, puts Hamas in a corner:

  • Hostage release: All 48 remaining hostages — alive and dead — must be returned within 72 hours.
  • Disarmament: Hamas required to surrender weapons and dismantle all terror infrastructure.
  • Amnesty & safe passage: Fighters who renounce violence may leave Gaza under safe escort.
  • Reconstruction: Massive aid and rebuilding program run by neutral international bodies.
  • Governance: Gaza overseen by a technocratic Palestinian committee, supervised by a “Board of Peace” chaired by Trump, with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair expected to play a role.
  • Future control: Hamas barred from any role in Gaza’s political future.

Trump’s Ultimatum

Earlier in the day, President Trump set a clear deadline for Hamas: three to four days to respond.
“All of the Arab countries have signed up, the Muslim countries have signed up, Israel’s all signed up. We’re just waiting for Hamas,” Trump said, warning:

“Hamas is either gonna be doing it or not, and if it’s not, it’s going to be a very sad end.”

The Bottom Line

With Britain joining the chorus of support, Hamas finds itself completely isolated. If it refuses Trump’s terms — total surrender and disarmament — it risks legitimizing Israel’s full military campaign to wipe out its terror empire once and for all.
