Israel Police revealed Gaza flotilla carried no aid—just propaganda—shattering activists’ false claims of a “humanitarian mission.”
The myth of the Gaza flotilla “humanitarian mission” was shattered this week when Israeli forces intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla during Yom Kippur and discovered it carried no aid whatsoever.
Lieutenant Dean Elsdunne, Israel Police spokesperson to international media, boarded one of the largest vessels and posted a video exposing the deception. Filming inside an empty room, Elsdunne made the truth clear:
“All this aid that they were supposed to bring into Gaza? It doesn’t exist. This was never about Gazans. It was all about headlines and social media followers.”
Elsdunne explained that Israel, along with multiple countries, had offered to transfer genuine aid into Gaza safely—but flotilla organizers flatly rejected the offer. The reason, he said, is obvious: there was never any aid to deliver.
On Friday morning, Israel’s elite Shayetet 13 naval commandos completed the operation, seizing the last remaining vessel of the flotilla without casualties.
Among the participants was radical climate activist Greta Thunberg, who has repeatedly joined flotillas attempting to breach Israel’s lawful naval blockade. Thunberg was previously deported in June after joining the “Madleen” flotilla.
For Israel, the incident confirms what has long been evident: the so-called flotillas are not humanitarian lifelines but publicity stunts designed to delegitimize Israel and bolster Hamas’s propaganda war. While Hamas hoards aid and builds rockets, its Western apologists stage spectacles meant to demonize the only democracy in the Middle East.
Israel’s message was unambiguous: those who exploit human suffering for political theater will be exposed.
