Lorde Joins Anti-Israel Boycott, Pulls Music from Apple in Israel After Pro-Palestinian Tirade

New Zealand pop star Lorde caves to BDS pressure, stripping Israeli fans of her music while glorifying anti-Israel rhetoric.

Pop star Lorde, once hailed as a voice for global youth, has now aligned herself with the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, yanking her music catalog from Apple Music in Israel, Haaretz reported Friday.

While her songs remain on Spotify for the moment, insiders say the removal could follow within hours — effectively silencing thousands of Israeli fans who have supported her music for years.

The move comes just days after Lorde used a New York concert to light the stage in Palestinian flag colors and scream “Free f**ing Palestine”* to the crowd — a crude political outburst cloaked in celebrity theatrics.

By joining the radical “No Music For Genocide” campaign, Lorde becomes its highest-profile recruit. The initiative seeks to punish Israel culturally by cutting off its citizens from international music and entertainment. Other participants include Canadian musician Caribou and London-based station NTS, which recently geo-blocked its platform in Israel.

The boycott wave has grown in recent months: last month, most of Björk’s catalog vanished from Israeli streaming services. Now, Lorde — who already bowed to BDS pressure in 2017 when she canceled a Tel Aviv concert — has doubled down, once again betraying her Israeli fans.

At the time, Lorde feigned regret, saying, “Tel Aviv, it’s been a dream of mine to visit this beautiful part of the world … I’m truly sorry to reverse my commitment.” Today, that apology rings hollow, replaced by open hostility toward the Jewish state.

For Israel’s cultural community, the message is clear: international artists are being coerced by a toxic movement that normalizes antisemitism under the guise of “human rights.” Lorde’s decision represents not informed conscience, but capitulation to a campaign that demonizes Israel while ignoring Hamas terrorism, Iranian funding, and the brutal reality of October 7.
