Trump Praises Israel for Halting Gaza Strikes, Warns Hamas: ‘Move Quickly or All Bets Are Off’

President Trump lauded Israel for pausing its Gaza campaign to advance hostage talks, warning Hamas against stalling the peace deal.

US President Donald Trump on Saturday praised Israel for suspending its offensive operations in the Gaza Strip following his request to give the emerging hostage-release and peace framework a chance to advance.

“I appreciate that Israel has temporarily stopped the bombing in order to give the hostage release and peace deal a chance to be completed,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, emphasizing that the pause was a gesture of strength, not weakness.

But the President also delivered a stark warning to Hamas: “Hamas must move quickly, or else all bets will be off.”

Reiterating his signature no-nonsense approach, Trump added: “I will not tolerate delay, which many think will happen, or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s get this done, fast. Everyone will be treated fairly!”

Israeli officials confirmed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address the nation in a press conference at 8:00 p.m. Israel time, expected to outline the next steps in coordination with Washington.

The pause in strikes — framed by Israeli leaders as part of the first phase of Trump’s Gaza peace plan — signals Jerusalem’s readiness to cooperate on a hostage deal while maintaining military preparedness should Hamas renege on its commitments.

For Israel, the message is clear: peace will be pursued only from a position of strength, and any renewed threat from Hamas will be met with decisive force.
