Seized IDF intelligence reveals Yahya Sinwar’s handwritten orders to exploit Israeli weaknesses, film massacres, and broadcast terror to the world.
Israeli intelligence has uncovered a horrifying, previously unseen document handwritten by Yahya Sinwar, the slain Hamas leader — a blueprint for deception and barbarity that exposes the calculating cruelty behind the October 7 massacre.
The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center released the record after it was seized during IDF ground operations in Gaza. The paper strips away Hamas’ propaganda veneer and reveals how Sinwar personally masterminded a campaign to exploit Israeli security gaps, mislead the IDF, and manufacture scenes of terror designed to stun the world and galvanize Islamist supporters.
According to the center, Sinwar’s instructions were explicit in their intent: identify and exploit weaknesses in Israeli defenses; create staged, high-impact images to maximize psychological effect; and document and broadcast depravity — from the slaughter and desecration of civilians to staged scenes meant to signal dominance and sow panic. The document even urged commanders to deliberately generate horrifying footage — images of murdered civilians, abuse of soldiers, burning neighborhoods, and destroyed military vehicles — with the goal of producing a viral spectacle that would inflame supporters across the region.
Intelligence intercepts later corroborated the plan: recordings analyzed by Unit 8200 captured Hamas operatives carrying out many of the instructions, methodically executing the orders and broadcasting the atrocities to the outside world as part of a coordinated media campaign.
Sinwar’s notes also describe a carefully timed, multi-phase assault intended to seize the initiative in the crucial opening hours of the operation — to create facts on the ground and a media narrative before Israel could react. The document’s cold calculus shows that the massacre was not spontaneous but the product of premeditated, command-level planning aimed at terror, spectacle, and strategic gain.
The release of this document demolishes any remaining illusions that October 7 was merely a chaotic outbreak of violence. Instead, it reveals a meticulously planned campaign of terror, propaganda, and deception — a plan conceived by Hamas leadership to kill, humiliate, and terrorize civilians while broadcasting the horror for maximum effect.
Israeli authorities say the document both vindicates the IDF’s intelligence work and underlines the necessity of dismantling Hamas’ command capabilities, exposing not only the group’s operational ruthlessness but also its willingness to weaponize atrocity for political ends.
