Kiryat Arba Rejoices: Community Prepares Emotional Homecoming for Freed Hostage Eitan Mor, Hero of the Nova Festival

The people of Kiryat Arba unite in celebration and prayer as beloved hostage Eitan Mor, abducted from the Nova Festival, finally returns home.

A powerful wave of emotion is sweeping through Kiryat Arba–Hebron as the community completes heartfelt preparations to welcome home Eitan Mor, one of the hostages freed from Hamas captivity. Eitan, the eldest of Efrat and Zvika Mor’s eight children, was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7 while heroically serving as a security guard at the Nova Music Festival, where hundreds of young Israelis were massacred.

For weeks, Eitan’s fate was unknown. His family clung to hope, searching tirelessly for any sign of life until returning hostages brought the miraculous news — Eitan was alive. Now, as Israel rejoices at the return of its sons and daughters, Kiryat Arba is preparing to greet its beloved child with the honor and love he deserves.

The Kiryat Arba-Hebron Council has adorned the city with banners and special signs reading:

“With prayers for his safe and sound return, with great respect and appreciation for the IDF soldiers and the families of the reservists. Am Yisrael Chai!

The atmosphere across the community is one of both gratitude and reverence — a celebration not only of Eitan’s survival but of the nation’s unbreakable spirit. Residents have planned multiple events and prayer gatherings in his honor, turning Kiryat Arba into a beacon of unity, faith, and resilience.

Before returning home, Eitan — like all freed hostages — will undergo medical examinations and debriefing at the hospital, ensuring his full physical and emotional recovery after enduring Hamas’ brutal captivity.

“We thank Hashem for this miracle,” said a neighbor, tears in her eyes. “Eitan symbolizes the courage and faith of our people — from the horrors of October 7 to the light of redemption.”

For the Mor family, the moment marks the end of months of unimaginable agony — and the beginning of healing. Their home, once filled with uncertainty, will soon echo again with the joy and laughter of their son, a survivor who endured the darkness of Gaza and returned to the light of his homeland.

As banners proclaim across Judea, “Am Yisrael Chai!” — The Nation of Israel Lives.
