President Trump vows to recover the bodies of slain hostages and praises Egypt’s key role in advancing the Gaza Peace Deal.
In a powerful statement of resolve and compassion, U.S. President Donald Trump declared on Monday that the bodies of deceased Israeli hostages still held in Gaza will be found and returned to Israel, pledging that no victim of Hamas terror will be left behind.
Speaking in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, alongside President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Trump reaffirmed that the mission to bring closure to hostage families is already underway. “They’re going and looking for bodies… and they’re doing it in conjunction with Israel,” he told reporters. “They’re going to be finding quite a few of them.”
Trump’s remarks came just hours after his emotional address to the Israeli Knesset, where he met with families of hostages freed under the Gaza Peace Deal, calling their release “a triumph of courage, faith, and unbreakable Israeli spirit.”
Discussing the next phase of the agreement, Trump hinted at renewed momentum in the region:
“It started, as far as we’re concerned. In the other room, you have some of the wealthiest nations in the world… I think you’ll see tremendous progress.”
The President praised Egypt’s decisive role in mediating the landmark deal that ended Hamas’s control in Gaza. “They had a very important role with Hamas,” Trump said, noting that “Hamas respects this country and its leadership.”
Trump’s historic Middle East tour — from Jerusalem to Cairo and now Sharm el-Sheikh — underscores his renewed diplomatic offensive to secure peace through strength, reunite all hostages with their loved ones, and cement a future where Israel’s security and sovereignty remain non-negotiable.
