Netanyahu and JD Vance Hail “Unbreakable Alliance” in Jerusalem: “Israel Is No Vassal — It’s America’s Strongest Ally”

Prime Minister Netanyahu and U.S. Vice President JD Vance reaffirm historic Trump-era U.S.–Israel unity, pledging to dismantle Hamas and reshape Middle East peace.

In a powerful show of unity at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Vice President JD Vance declared that the U.S.–Israel alliance under President Donald Trump has reached an unprecedented level of trust and cooperation, reshaping the strategic map of the Middle East.

Netanyahu opened the joint statement by calling Trump’s recent visit to Israel “a historic visit that will be etched in the annals of the nation,” praising the President’s unwavering commitment to Israel’s security and sovereignty. “There has never been anything like this alliance,” Netanyahu said. “And President Trump himself said that.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that Vice President Vance is among Trump’s closest confidants, calling him “a steadfast friend of Israel” whose visit reflects the administration’s deep partnership and solidarity during a defining moment in regional history. Netanyahu said the alliance is “changing the face of the Middle East” and opening the door to new Arab–Israeli peace accords.

Vice President JD Vance echoed the sentiment, outlining the Trump administration’s dual mission: “to dismantle Hamas’s military machine while rebuilding Gaza and guaranteeing Israel’s security.” Acknowledging the difficulty of the task, Vance said, “It’s not easy — and I think the Prime Minister knows that. But it’s something we in the Trump administration are fully committed to.”

Vance revealed that over the last 24 hours, he held in-depth consultations with Israeli and Arab leaders, expressing “optimism about where we are right now.” He brushed off criticism of the U.S. plan for Gaza’s postwar governance, saying:

“I know there are people in the media who oppose this proposal. But I think we have an opportunity to do something truly historic.”

When pressed by reporters about claims that one nation “controls” the other, Netanyahu firmly dismissed the notion, saying:

“One week they say Israel controls the United States; the next, they say the United States controls Israel. This is hogwash.”

Vice President Vance immediately backed him, declaring:

“We don’t want a vassal state, and that’s not what Israel is. We don’t want a client state, and that’s not what Israel is. We want a partner. We want an ally here.”

The statement — made against the backdrop of a volatile ceasefire in Gaza — underscored the Trump administration’s strategic doctrine of partnership through strength, reaffirming that Washington and Jerusalem stand shoulder to shoulder in dismantling terrorism and forging a durable new order in the Middle East.
