Prime Minister Netanyahu and top U.S. commanders reaffirmed their joint mission under President Trump’s framework to demilitarize Gaza and secure Israel’s long-term safety during a high-level visit to the CMCC in Kiryat Gat.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday made a high-profile visit to the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) in Kiryat Gat, where he met with U.S. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper and General Patrick Frank to assess the ongoing implementation of President Donald Trump’s strategic framework for Gaza’s future.
Standing alongside Israel’s military and intelligence leadership, Netanyahu praised the unprecedented Israeli-American partnership driving forward a vision of “a different Gaza” — one stripped of Hamas terror infrastructure and permanently incapable of threatening Israel again.
“I am pleased to host our American friends here in Kiryat Gat. They are working with us on a plan to achieve a Gaza that will no longer pose a threat to Israel,” Netanyahu declared. “The first component, of course, is security — ensuring our freedom of action and maintaining control. This is fundamental and non-negotiable.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that the joint mission’s ultimate goal — the complete disarming of Hamas and the full demilitarization of Gaza — is being advanced in carefully coordinated stages between Jerusalem and Washington.
“In the same measure,” Netanyahu said, “we want to bring about the goal that President Trump and we agreed on — the disarming of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza. We are working on this in stages, together with other components of the plan.”
Netanyahu hailed recent milestones achieved under U.S.-Israel coordination, including operations in Iran and the successful rescue of Israeli hostages, as proof that the alliance’s strategic model is delivering results once thought impossible. “There is a real joint effort here, while keeping Israel’s security in our own hands, to achieve what few believed possible,” he said.
Quoting President Trump’s decisive approach, Netanyahu added: “Either we achieve this the easy way, as we hope — or we achieve it the hard way. But one way or another, we will achieve it.”
The Prime Minister was joined by his Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, Shin Bet Director David Zini, Military Secretary Maj.-Gen. Roman Gofman, and Maj.-Gen. Yaki Dolf, head of the IDF Coordination Command — underscoring the full weight of Israel’s defense establishment behind the operation.
The meeting signals a new phase in the Trump-Netanyahu strategic alignment, as Israel and the U.S. work shoulder-to-shoulder to reshape Gaza’s security landscape, dismantle Hamas’s war machine, and secure the Jewish state’s southern frontier — permanently.
