Iran’s Assassination Plot on Israeli Ambassador in Mexico FOILED — Revolutionary Guards Exposed in Global Terror Conspiracy

Mexico’s security forces foil Iranian plot to assassinate Israel’s ambassador; operation traced to Tehran’s terror network run from Venezuela.

In a stunning international security triumph, Mexico’s security forces have thwarted an assassination plot orchestrated by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeting Israel’s ambassador to Mexico, Einat Kranz Neiger. The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed Friday that the attempted attack was uncovered and neutralized before it could be executed.

“We thank the security and law enforcement services in Mexico for dismantling a terrorist infrastructure directed by Iran,” the ministry said in a statement, praising the swift coordination between Mexican, Israeli, and U.S. intelligence agencies.

According to assessments, the terror cell operated from Iran’s embassy in Venezuela, using diplomatic channels to mask its movements and communications. A senior American official told Reuters that the plot had been planned for the first half of 2025, describing it as part of Iran’s “long history of global lethal targeting of diplomats, journalists, and dissidents.”

The official stressed that the operation was “contained and no longer poses a current threat,” but warned that Tehran’s shadow networks remain active across Latin America. Analysts have long cautioned that Venezuela serves as a strategic hub for Iranian espionage and terror financing, with links extending through Hezbollah affiliates across the region.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry hailed the joint success as a testament to international intelligence cooperation and reaffirmed that Jerusalem will continue to strike preemptively against Iranian terror plots worldwide.

“Israel’s security and intelligence community will continue to operate tirelessly in full coordination with allies to thwart Iran’s attempts to harm Israeli and Jewish targets anywhere in the world,” the ministry emphasized.

The foiled attack highlights Iran’s escalating campaign of asymmetric warfare — targeting Israeli officials, embassies, and Jewish institutions worldwide — even as Tehran publicly claims to seek diplomacy. Experts say this latest plot reaffirms the IRGC’s direct involvement in global terror and underscores the necessity of Israel’s far-reaching intelligence capabilities, which have repeatedly outmaneuvered Iran’s covert operations.
