“UN GREENLIGHTS TRUMP’S GAZA PLAN: GLOBAL FORCE APPROVED AS ISRAEL INSISTS ‘NO PALESTINIAN STATE — EVER’”

UN backs Trump’s international Gaza force, igniting global debate as Israel demands Hamas disarmament and firmly rejects any Palestinian statehood path.

In a dramatic move with far-reaching consequences, the UN Security Council on Monday approved the US-backed resolution to deploy an international stabilization force in Gaza—an initiative rooted directly in President Donald Trump’s sweeping 20-point plan to reshape the region.

The vote was decisive: 13 nations in favor, with Russia and China abstaining, allowing Washington’s long-negotiated blueprint to move forward.

The proposal lays out a sweeping overhaul of post-Hamas Gaza:

  • An international multinational force on the ground,
  • Complete disarmament of Hamas,
  • A long-term political framework that some describe as a pathway to Palestinian statehood—a clause stirring fierce debate, especially in Israel.

‘A Bold, Pragmatic Blueprint’ – U.S. Ambassador Waltz

Presenting the resolution, U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz delivered an impassioned address, declaring the initiative “forged in the fires of diplomacy” with partners spanning Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

Waltz pointed to immediate gains:

  • 45 hostages already freed,
  • A fragile but holding ceasefire,
  • A rare diplomatic alignment between Arab states, Muslim-majority nations, Israel, and the United States.

He challenged dissenting voices bluntly:

“If those who must live with this plan can accept it, how can anyone be against it? Are you more righteous than the people of the region themselves?”

Warning that failure to act could reignite war, Waltz added:

“The clock is ticking like a timebomb. Let this vote be a covenant—for Gaza’s children, for lasting peace, and for a Middle East reborn.”

Israel: No Future for Gaza Until Hamas is Disarmed

Israel’s UN Ambassador Danny Danon welcomed the unanimous security provisions of the resolution, focusing on its unambiguous demand to strip Hamas of its arsenal.

“Disarming Hamas is not negotiable. There is no future for Gaza as long as Hamas holds weapons,” he declared.

Pathway to a Palestinian State Sparks Outrage in Israel

Although the U.S.–Arab coalition celebrated the resolution as offering a “pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood,” the clause triggered immediate political shockwaves in Jerusalem.

Israeli ministers—particularly from the national camp—denounced the phrasing as a dangerous diplomatic concession. Despite intense pushback, the wording remained untouched.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s unwavering red line:

“Our opposition to a Palestinian state on any part of this territory has not changed in the slightest.”

A Region at a Crossroads

The resolution marks one of the most consequential UN decisions on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict in decades—one combining Trump-era strategic thinking, unprecedented Arab alignment, and U.S. muscle.

Supporters hail it as the first real attempt to enforce demilitarization, protect civilians, and rewrite Gaza’s future. Critics argue it risks imposing a political framework Israel fundamentally rejects.

But one thing is clear:
The world has just pushed Gaza into a new era—and Israel is determined to shape it on its terms.
