US Stands Firm With Israel as Families Plead for Last Hostage Still Held by Palestinian Terrorists

Hamas’s cruelty leaves one Israeli hostage behind, while America vows unwavering support until rescue succeeds.

In a deeply emotional meeting, Talik and Itzik Gvili, parents of the last remaining Israeli hostage Ran Gvili, met earlier today with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, who offered heartfelt reassurance and unwavering American support.

Ran Gvili remains the final Israeli citizen still held in Gaza—captured and brutally denied freedom by Palestinian terror factions—alongside Thai national Sudthisak Rinthalak, who has already been declared dead as a result of Hamas’s barbaric hostage-taking.

The Gvilis described the encounter as profoundly comforting, saying the ambassador’s warmth and sincerity gave them strength during an ordeal that no family should ever endure.
“Ambassador Huckabee was warm and heartfelt. We felt he genuinely cares about Ran, Sudthisak, and all of our families,” they said.

During the meeting, Ambassador Huckabee reaffirmed that the United States will stand with Israel “until the last hostage comes home,” a powerful statement of solidarity at a time when Palestinian terror organizations continue to hold innocent civilians in violation of every moral and international standard.

The ambassador’s message reinforced the ironclad partnership between Israel and the United States—especially in the face of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other extremist factions that routinely commit atrocities while exploiting civilians as tools of leverage.

For the Gvili family, Huckabee’s commitment offered a measure of hope amid anguish. They emphasized their determination to ensure the international community does not become complacent, asserting that the world must not rest until every last hostage—Israeli or foreign—is safely returned.

The meeting highlighted not only the Gvili family’s personal heartbreak, but also the broader global responsibility to confront Palestinian terror, demand the release of all captives, and support Israel’s ongoing efforts to bring its people home.
