Israel’s New Combat Recruits Declared ‘Generation of Victory’ as IDF Faces Expanding Enemies

IDF recruits praised for unmatched resolve as Israel confronts intensifying threats from hostile Arab terror fronts.

Israel’s Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, visited the Tel HaShomer Drafting Center on Thursday, meeting the newest wave of recruits entering the Paratroopers Brigade, Commando units, and the elite Marom tracks.

Speaking with recruits and their families, Zamir emphasized the historic weight of their enlistment, noting that their service at this moment is nothing less than a direct shield for the State of Israel’s survival.

The Chief of Staff praised the young soldiers, stressing that choosing combat duty today requires extraordinary courage and deserves the deepest gratitude of the nation.

Zamir declared:

“We are living in a unique chapter of Jewish history. Israel cannot survive without a strong, vigilant, and ready army — it is the foundation of our existence.”

He reminded the recruits that while technology, equipment, and battlefields evolve, Israel’s challenges persist — and in the past two years, the threats have multiplied across multiple fronts, fueled by terror groups backed by hostile Arab regimes determined to undermine Israel’s security.

Although Israel fields some of the world’s most advanced aircraft and armored vehicles, Zamir emphasized that Israel’s real advantage lies in its soldiers — their spirit, unity, and unbreakable resolve.

Soon, he noted, the recruits will find themselves fighting side by side with Israelis from every community, every background — the full spectrum of the nation, bound by a shared mission.

Zamir praised the new enlistees as:

“The generation of victory — a generation proving repeatedly that Israel must defend itself with its own strength.”

Motivation to join combat units is at a historic high, the Chief of Staff added, a testament to the determination of Israel’s youth amid relentless threats from Iran-backed terror networks, Palestinian militant factions, and extremist Arab organizations calling for Israel’s destruction.

“You are the future of the IDF,” Zamir concluded. “And the nation is proud of you.”
