Trump Says Next Gaza Plan Phase Imminent As Israel Hits Hamas For Ceasefire-Breaking Terror Attack

Trump praises progress while Israel confronts Hamas’s latest violation, exposing fragile ceasefire shattered by terrorists.

US President Donald Trump reaffirmed on Wednesday that the next phase of his Gaza stabilization plan is advancing smoothly and will be implemented “pretty soon,” despite Hamas’s latest attempt to sabotage the ceasefire through a bombing attack in Rafah that injured five IDF soldiers, one seriously.

When asked about the timeline for phase two of his peace framework, Trump emphasized ongoing momentum. “It’s going along well,” he told reporters. “Yes, they had a problem today—a bomb went off and hurt some people badly—but it’s moving very well. We have peace in the Middle East. People don’t realize it. We have tremendous support.”

Trump’s remarks came hours after the Israel Defense Forces confirmed it executed a targeted response to Hamas’s blatant violation of the ceasefire. The terror group detonated an explosive device in southern Gaza, once again shattering its commitments and proving—yet again—that Hamas uses ceasefires as tactical shields, not humanitarian opportunities.

“IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed according to the agreement,” the military said. “And they will continue operating to eliminate any immediate threat.”

The incident underscores a familiar pattern: while the US pushes forward with a diplomatic roadmap, Hamas continues to undermine every peace effort, testing Israeli restraint and exploiting international ambiguity. Israel’s precise strike on the responsible terrorist highlights the nation’s consistent policy: ceasefire does not mean tolerating terror.

Trump’s confidence signals that the United States will not allow Hamas’s provocations—or the broader Iranian terror network behind it—to derail the strategic restructuring of Gaza and the region.
