US and Israeli Envoys Expose Hezbollah Threat, Condemn UN Blindness During High-Stakes Northern Border Tour

Waltz and Danon witness Iran-backed terror buildup firsthand, rejecting UN’s distorted narrative on regional threats.

US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz and Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon conducted a high-level security tour of Israel’s tense northern frontier on Tuesday, receiving direct operational briefings and witnessing firsthand the threats emanating from Hezbollah in Lebanon and Iranian-linked militias in Syria.

The ambassadors visited strategic vantage points including Misgav Am, Mount Bental, and the Quneitra region overlooking Syria. They later met with an UNDOF officer, who provided an updated assessment of security operations and regional instability in the Golan Heights.

Ambassador Danon underscored the stark reality confronting Israel daily.
“On the Lebanese border, we clearly see the IDF’s determination in confronting Hezbollah’s renewed entrenchment and the Iranian threat driving it,” he said. “On the Syrian border, instability continues to feed additional challenges. Only days ago, the UN Security Council toured Lebanon and Syria—and received a one-sided, distorted narrative completely detached from what we saw on the ground today.”

Danon added that Israel’s military victories do not erase the persistent dangers posed by Tehran and its proxies.
“Despite Israel’s tremendous military achievements, the threats still exist. Israel will remain vigilant and resolute. We will not allow Iran or its terrorist puppets to rebuild or endanger our borders.”

The joint tour signaled rare US-Israeli diplomatic unity and sent a clear message: Israel’s security concerns are real, urgent, and no longer tolerable to be dismissed by politically skewed international bodies.
